Let Us Raise Our Voice of Warning

"For us to know that the Book of Mormon is true, we must read it and make the choice found in Moroni: pray to know if it is true. When we have done that, we can testify from personal experience to our friends that they can make that choice and know the same truth."
—Henry B. Eyring, "Let Us Raise Our Voice of Warning"
Topics: Book of Mormon, Sharing the Gospel

Small and Simple Things

"May the Lord bless each one of us to follow the counsel of our prophets. We need to have family and personal prayers; study the scriptures, particularly the Book of Mormon; hold family home evenings; follow the admonition of the Savior to love one another; and be thoughtful, kind, and gentle within the family. Through these and other similar small and simple things, we have the promise that our lives will be filled with peace and joy."
—M. Russell Ballard, "Small and Simple Things", Liahona and Ensign, May 1990
Topics: Prophets, Obedience, Joy

The Way Home

"The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints sends forth to you an earnest appeal. Open your doors to the missionaries. Open your minds to the words of God. Open your hearts, even your very souls, to the sound of that still, small voice which testifies of truth."
—Thomas S. Monson, "The Way Home"

How to Obtain Revelation and Inspiration for Your Personal Life

"Spiritual communication can be enhanced by good health practices. Exercise, reasonable amounts of sleep, and good eating habits increase our capacity to receive and understand revelation. We will live for our appointed life span."

Your Family History: Getting Started

"When we research our own lines we become interested in more than just names or the number of names going through the temple. Our interest turns our hearts to our fathers—we seek to find them and to know them and to serve them."

Bryan's (My Sweetheart's) Pre- Birthday Celebration (Family)

Yesterday we as a family celebrated Bryan's Birthday. His first birthday since we have been married. And 2nd one since we have been together I wasn't able to be with him on his birthday last year because I was up here in Utah.

I missed being with him last year on his birthday so this year I was going to make it special. At least I was going to try.

Jared & Lindsay and Kayla and Ashlee came over to celebrate we missed having Dakota with us as he was/is at his mom's for the weekend.

We had a yummy dinner and I made 2 cakes so we all could have some of both or choose what kind of cake we wanted to have. I made a Yellow cake that was frosted with Whipped chocolate frosting and then a Chocolate cake with Pink/birthday funfetti frosting and sprinkles. It was yummy!

We started the BBQ Grill and we bbq'd Chicken tenders some with Barbeque sauce and some without and then we grilled Brisket meat that had barbeque sauce and of course we had drinks such as soda, kool aid etc. And we had peaches, and a macaroni salad just to highlight a few.

The Yellow cake before it went into the oven. (I seriously do not know
how the black bars get around and on the picture- sorry about that).

Here are the Yellow cake (One before it was frosted and then the other one after it was frosted) (Again I am sorry about the bars around the pictures). I feel so bad and embarrassed.

First picture (kind of) is of the BBQ set bryan used to BBQ. We got this BBQ Set for our Wedding from our friends Caleb and Sarah & Ali Clayton - Thanks Guys we love it.

The second picture is of the chocolate cake all frosted.....

My Sweetheart Bryan preparing to start BBQ'ing - I Love you Sweetheart!!!

The first picture there is Kayla - Ashlee was in the picture but, she got cut off because of the Darn bars around the picture.

And
The second picture is of the Brisket meat (of course not the full picture)

I took a picture of our spread (the food) but, we all know what happened and why you can't see the whole picture. So instead you can just look at the cups and plates we used (HA HA HA)

I would post more pictures and I will if I can figure out how to do so without these bars. I am sorry everyone.

It was fun and I am glad I am able to show my love for my husband in this way (and many other ways as well).

So Very Greatful....

I do not know if I could ask for a better husband. Bryan is my best friend and the love of my life. I can't believe we have been married for almost a year.

It does not seem that long. Our one year anniversary is in a couple of weeks on the 9th of June.

What a year it has been we have been through so much already.

We have been married almost a year and have been together for almost 2 years and I would not trade the last (almost) 2 years for anything in the world.

I would not have it any other way!!! -  I am apart of such a wonderful Family with wonderful In-laws and extended family. His mom, Brother, my awesome 2 nephews (that I now have because of us being married and together) and Uncles and Aunts and cousin's and their families and even every now and then when we see his Dad and other family members. They are so very loving, giving, accepting of me and our union and marriage I could not ask for anything else my husband's family is the best a girl could ever ask for as they have accepted and welcomed me into the family and their lives with open arms.

I have the best Husband a girl could ask for as well. I am so blessed-- I have been given such a gift by my Father in heaven. I am so Greatful that....

*My parents loves my husband
*My brother, sister in law and nieces and nephew are there for us
*That they also love my husband and us as a couple
*That my husband has such a love & loves my nieces and nephew (they are his nieces and nephew as now).

*How hard my husband works
*What a good provider he is for me and us
*How he helps and contributes on behalf of both our parents
*That Bryan chose me
*That I chose Bryan
*That Bryan loves me
*How I love Bryan
*how loyal he is
*That he has my back
*how we have eachother's back

I would not trade it for anything and I would not have it any other way.

I Love Bryan so much..... I look forward to Eternity with him....

These Things I know.....

On this Special Day..... - 11 MONTHS.....

Our 11 Month Anniversary was 2 days ago on the 9th. And all I can say is "Wow, where has the time gone? that 11 months has gone by FAST!!!"

I am so grateful and blessed to have such a wonderful husband who cherishes me, loves me, loves me and even more when I get all weepy, emotional, and my emotions and moods are all over the chart, when I have "Melt down's", and he loves me no matter what. He truly lives and works hard to live his wedding vows he made to me on our wedding day. I always and trying to do the same. I am a work in progress.

Our wedding vows and our marriage is so important to us and is something we hold so very dear. And very dear to our heart's. It is not something we take lightly.

We have a awesome book on Marriage. It's called "Married for life - Inspirations from those married 50 years or More. "

We have looked at it and we really like it. The inspirations in there gives us a boost and confidence that "WE CAN AND WILL DO THIS!!!"  and "IF THEY CAN DO IT.... SO CAN WE!"

One we like is

"Always be honest, faithful, and true to each other"

"Marriage is the greatest,  most intimate opportunity you will have in your lifetime to minister to another person. Only you can't do it on your own . To make the most of  this opportunity , me must look to Jesus to both teach us and make us able to love each other. "

It goes on but, that is the Jist of it....

I Want to emulate and dedicate my life to that principle and many many many other great thoughts, inspirations and principles on the topic of marriage. I hope that every day I can become a better person and wife to Bryan. One he will and can always be proud of.

My Handsome Husband......

Seriously I do not know why I am getting these black areas, and or "bars" around these pictures.

Sorry about that.....

Happy 11 month Anniversary Sweetie! I love you so much..... I can't wait for Eternity with you....

Thank you for all you do for me and for us and my family..... And for being the person  you are.

I Love you!

Personal Peace: The reward of Righteousness

"We all long for peace. Peace is not just safety or lack of war, violence, conflict, and contention. Peace comes from knowing that the Savior knows who we are and knows that we have faith in Him, love Him, and keep His commandments, even and especially amid life’s devastating trials and tragedies."
—Quentin L. Cook, "Personal Peace: The Reward of Righteousness"

Obedience to God is Liberty.....

"God reveals to His prophets that there are moral absolutes. Sin will always be sin. Disobedience to the Lord’s commandments will always deprive us of His blessings. The world changes constantly and dramatically, but God, His commandments, and promised blessings do not change. They are immutable and unchanging."
—L. Tom Perry, "Obedience to Law Is Liberty"

Follow Up and Retraction from my Earlier Walmart post....

I have and want to offer a follow up and Retraction on my Earlier Walmart post. And it's simple....

"RETRACTION ON EARLIER POST!!! * The pay issue was because the store cut me a check so that is why funds were reversed. So apologies for frustration of my earlier post. Walmart has renewed my faith and trust. Thank You! "

As stated above the issue occurred because they decided to cut me a check rather than do the direct deposit. I have faith and trust that this company is a wonderful, Ethical, and Honest company.

Shame On Walmart......

Something I need to get the word out on....  Today is payday and I had my paycheck directly deposited and then almost as fast as it was directly deposited it was reversed. So dishonest and unethical of walmart.

Here is what I posted on Facebook on their facebook page. This also will be going on Twitter.

"
I Just want to say that I Used to be an associate for you all and well let's see I am no longer with the company. And today being payday I was and still am DUE my final check. I have direct deposit and It was deposited and then YOU ALL TOOK all my paycheck and funds I set up for direct deposit between 2 accounts you took all my pay back out of my checking and savings accounts. Which is now resulti...ng in me being in the negative, and receiving Overdraft fees. I do not UNDERSTAND A COMPANY who does their associates/former associates wrong like that. You deposit money (pay) into a associates account and then take it all back. That is unethical and completely and clearly dishonest. WE earn our money and do not expect on PAYDAY to have our money reversed by WALMART! money we earned and deserve. Also I was a overnight stocker and was told at the time I interviewed and got hired that I would get paid my base pay and a $1 more a hour overnight differential. Well I never got paid my differential and I just got paid my base rate. Another dishonesty.... No wonder among other things you have such high turn over. I want my Paycheck and what I am due and to not have the money reversed.  "

The Why of Preisthood Service

"I testify to you this day that God the Father and His Son, Jesus Christ, live. They are real! They are there! You are not alone. Your Father in Heaven cares about you and desires to bless and uphold you in righteousness. Be assured that God speaks to mankind in our time. He will speak to you!"
