"Each day is a day of decision, and our decisions determine our destiny."
—Russell M. Nelson, "Decisions for Eternity"

"A strong human spirit with control over appetites of the flesh is master over emotions and passions and not a slave to them. That kind of freedom is as vital to the spirit as oxygen is to the body! Freedom from self-slavery is true liberation!"

"The love of Jesus Christ must be our guide if we are to become aware of the needs of those we can help in some way. The teachings of our Lord, Jesus Christ, show us the way. And that is how our personal ministry begins: discovering needs, then tending to them."
—Hugo E. Martinez, "Our Personal Ministries"
Topics: Love

"We should all follow the gospel teachings to love our neighbor and avoid contention. Followers of Christ should be examples of civility. We should love all people, be good listeners, and show concern for their sincere beliefs."
—Dallin H. Oaks, "Loving Others and Living with Differences"
Love All
"Someone has written, “Love is a verb.” It requires doing—not just saying and thinking. The test is in what one does, how one acts, for love is conveyed in word and deed."
—David B. Haight, "Love All"
Topics: Love

"Love worketh no ill to his neighbour: therefore love is the fulfilling of the law (Romans 13:10)."
—Romans, "Romans 13"

"We can begin to become more diligent and concerned at home by telling the people we love that we love them. Such expressions do not need to be flowery or lengthy. We simply should sincerely and frequently express love."
—David A. Bednar, "More Diligent and Concerned at Home"

"We all have opportunities to render service to others. That is our calling and our privilege. Has It been a Year already ????

Well It's not Saturday yet.... And it's not the 22nd... Even though Sunday is the 22nd... Temples are not open on Sunday's.
Last year on the 22nd (so by day of the week) tomorrow will be 1 Year since Bryan and I entered the temple to go through for the 1st time and take out our own endowments.  We made the 1st convenants before we were sealed for time and all eternity Just over a month later.

For those of you not of the LDS Faith and maybe wondering what endowments are you can learn and have knowledge via:  https://www.lds.org/topics/ordinances?lang=eng&query=endowment  that is just some of many articles on Endowments.

"The gospel of Jesus Christ challenges us to change. “Repent” is its most frequent message, and repenting means giving up all of our practices—personal, family, ethnic, and national—that are contrary to the commandments of God. The purpose of the gospel is to transform common creatures into celestial citizens, and that requires change."
—Dallin H. Oaks, "Repentance and Change"
Topics: Change

"The feeling of love from our Heavenly Father is like a gravitational pull from heaven. As we remove the distractions that pull us toward the world and exercise our agency to seek Him, we open our hearts to a celestial force which draws us to Him. Nephi described its impact as ‘even unto the consuming of [his] flesh’ (2 Nephi 4:21). This same power caused Alma to sing a ‘song of redeeming love’ (Alma 5:26; see also Alma 5:9). It touched Mormon in such a way that he counseled us ‘to pray … with all the energy of our heart,’ that we might be filled with His love (Moroni 7:48)."
—Elder Paul E. Koelliker, "He Truly Loves Us"

"The wise use of your freedom to make your own decisions is crucial to your spiritual growth, now and for eternity. You are never too young to learn, never too old to change. Your yearnings to learn and change come from a divinely instilled striving for eternal progression. Each day brings opportunity for decisions for eternity."
—Russell M. Nelson, "Decisions for Eternity"

"In moments of fear or doubt or troubling times, hold to the ground you have already won, even if that ground is limited. … When these moments come and issues surface, the resolution of which is not immediately forthcoming, hold fast to what you already know and stand strong until additional knowledge comes."
—Jeffrey R. Holland, "Lord, I Believe"

"The choice is yours, and the choice is mine, remembering that our choices, our decisions, determine our destiny. God will guide you in your determination to serve Him and keep His commandments as you listen, as you learn, as you labor, and as you love."

"You know that God is your Father. He loves you. He wants you to be happy. Put your trust in Him (see 2 Nephi 4:34; 28:31). Maintain your focus on His holy temple. Be worthy to receive your endowment and sealing ordinances. Remain faithful to those covenants, and return frequently to the temple. Remember, your loftiest goal is to gain the greatest of all the blessings of God, that of eternal life (see D&C 14:7). Temple ordinances are essential for that blessing (see D&C 131:1–3)."
—Russell M. Nelson, "What Will You Choose?"
Topics: Progression

"So much in life depends on our attitude. The way we choose to see things and respond to others makes all the difference. To do the best we can and then to choose to be happy about our circumstances, whatever they may be, can bring peace and contentment."
—Thomas S. Monson, "Living the Abundant Life"
Topics: Hope

"A testimony of the hope of redemption is something which cannot be measured or counted. Jesus Christ is the source of that hope."
—Boyd K. Packer, "The Reason for Our Hope"

"Don't yield to Satan's lie that you don't have time to study the scriptures. Choose to take time to study them. Feasting on the word of God each day is more important than sleep, school, work, television shows, video games, or social media. You may need to reorganize your priorities to provide time for the study of the word of God. If so, do it!"
—Richard G. Scott, "Make the Exercise of Faith Your First Priority"
Topics: Improvement

"Each covenant brings with it duties and promises. For all of us … those duties are sometimes simple but are often difficult. But remember, the duties must sometimes be difficult because their purpose is to move us along the path to live forever with Heavenly Father and His Beloved Son, Jesus Christ, in families."

"True doctrine, understood, changes attitudes and behavior. The study of the doctrines of the gospel will improve behavior quicker than a study of behavior will improve behavior."

Preparations for the Restoration and the Second Coming: "My Hand Shall Be over Thee"

"In the Lord's service the path is not always easy. It often requires sacrifices, and we will likely experience adversity. But in serving Him, we discover that His hand is truly over us. … The Lord expects us to be as faithful, as devoted, as courageous as those who went before us. They were called to give their lives for the gospel. We are called to live our lives for the same purpose."
—Robert D. Hales, "Preparations for the Restoration and the Second Coming: "My Hand Shall Be over Thee""
Topics: Devotion

"Heavenly Father's love for all His children is unbounded, and there is no need to resent that love when it is manifested in the lives of others. There is plenty of love for us, and we share more fully in that love as we not only celebrate the return of the prodigal but also assist as many as possible to return to the fold "safe and sound" (Luke 15:27)."

God's Love for His Children

"His gospel is a gospel of love—love for God and love for one another. He directs us to follow his example. Our discipleship is measured by how well we comply."
—M. Russell Ballard, "God's Love for His Children"

""It has been said that history turns on small hinges, and so do our lives. Decisions determine destiny. But we are not left unaided in our decisions. If you want to see the light of heaven, if you want to feel the inspiration of Almighty God, if you want to have that feeling within your bosom that your Heavenly Father is guiding you, then follow the prophets of God. When you follow the prophets, you will be in safe territory.""
