God Be with You Till We Meet Again

Christmas

Christmas was such a beautiful day... It tried to snow and what snow we did get it did not stick to the ground but, that was alright. It was cold, snowy and just beautiful. It was one of my best christmases ever (in my whole adult life). Last year was the very best as that was our first christmas together and since we got engaged. This year was just wonderful because it was our first christmas being MARRIED!!!! I love being married and that is the best thing i ever did and I love Bryan so very much. I am truly blessed and the lucky one. I in some way or another know and realize every day just how much he loves me. And for that i am very greatful and lucky... On Christmas day we just slept in a little and took our time "getting the day going!" we started opening gifts around 11:30 - and NOON. "Santa was very good to me this year!" and so was my mother in law, brother in law, mom and dad, and my HONE (SANTA)... after opening gifts my nephew Shane came over he will be here till new years eve. He came in the house and he was so excited he went straight over to the christmas tree... He could not wait to open his gifts after he did that and everyone was ready to go. We went over to Bryan's Uncle Robert's and Aunt Teressa's house they live in Garland. Which is not far at all. Anyhow over there we got to spend time with them (Uncle Robert and Aunt Teressa), his Uncle Rick, his Aunt Judy & Uncle Rick (there are 2 uncle rick's) and his cousin by marriage Corena, husband Eric and little 17 month old cute little boy COLT... There was such delicious and yummy finger foods, good visiting, and just tine together with family. We exchanged gifts over there and we also play this game where everyone brings a random gift and wraps it up and they all go under the christmas tree and then everyone picks a number and then when your number is called and it's your turn you get a gift and open it and then others have the option to get one from other the tree or "steal" yours and each gift can onlhy be "stolen" 3 times and then it's "DEAD" and can't be taken anymore. Such a fun game. Bryan's family is always so good to me and good to both bryan and i. We love them so much... We will miss our texas family when we move but, will always come and visit and be here at least every other year at christmas or thanksgiving.... Bryan's Aunt and Uncle gave me some sweeet bath gels, shower gels etc. from Bath and Body works and bryan got some sweet chocolate covered pretzels and a Old Spice gift set... But, the principle and idea is to be together with family. And that is our greatest gift. Without family we are nothing.... We missed seeing Uncle Steve and all who couldn't make it....

Home for Christmas

"What all of us long for in our hearts, at Christmastime and always, is to feel bound together in love with the sweet assurance that it can last forever. This is the promise of eternal life, which God has called His greatest gift to His children (see D&C 14:7)." —Henry B. Eyring,

Of Curtains, Contentment, and Christmas

"Christmas and some of the cherished traditions of the season remind us that we, like the Wise Men of old, should seek the Christ and lay before Him the most precious of gifts: a broken heart and a contrite spirit." —Dieter F. Uchtdorf, "Of Curtains, Contentment, and Christmas", 2012 First Presidency Christmas Devotional, December 2012

The Spirit of the Season

"At this joyous season, may personal discords be forgotten and animosities healed. May enjoyment of the season include remembrance of the needy and afflicted. May our forgiveness reach out to those who have wronged us, even as we hope to be forgiven. May goodness abound in our hearts and love prevail in our homes." —Thomas S. Monson

6 MONTHS....

So excited.... Bryan & I have been married 6 MONTHS... that means we have been married 1/2 a year!!!! can't wait to see what the next 1/2 year will bring and what all the years, days, months, weeks and days will bring... I Look forward to it all... I wouldn't have it any other way... I love Bryan so much, I love how he works so very hard for me and us and to support me. I love how he shows me by word and action how much he loves me., Loves how he is so very forgiving and forgives me when i come up short and make mistakes., I love how he wants to and does everything he can to help us prepare for eternity and the temple. And how he wants to be with me forever. I never thought and was beggining to think and believe that there would be no one out there who would fall in love with me, accept me, who would want to be with me in this life let alone for time and all eternity. Then bryan came into my life... And things have never been the same (things have never been the same - FOR THE GOOD AND POSITIVE)!!! I Love you Honey!!!!

Consider the Blessings.....

"Our Heavenly Father is aware of our needs and will help us as we call upon Him for assistance. I believe that no concern of ours is too small or insignificant. The Lord is in the details of our lives." —Thomas S. Monson,
