"What Have I Done for Someone Today?"

"We become so caught up in the busyness of our lives. Were we to step back, however, and take a good look at what we’re doing, we may find that we have immersed ourselves in the 'thick of thin things.' In other words, too often we spend most of our time taking care of the things which do not really matter much at all in the grand scheme of things, neglecting those more important causes."
—Thomas S. Monson, ""What Have I Done for Someone Today?""

The Book of Mormon Will Change Your Life

"I bear testimony that however much you have learned from the Book of Mormon before, you should read it again and prove it. Prove it by proving yourself. Do the things you feel impressed to do, and you will find things in it that you have never seen before."
—Henry B. Eyring, "The Book of Mormon Will Change Your Life"

The Power of Deliverance

"Prophecies foretelling the life and mission of Jesus Christ promise us the deliverance that He will provide. His Atonement and Resurrection provide all of us an escape from physical death and, if we repent, an escape from spiritual death, bringing with it the blessings of eternal life."
—L. Tom Perry, "The Power of Deliverance", Liahona and Ensign, May 2012

Missionary Work and the Atonement

"I am convinced that missionary work is not easy because salvation is not a cheap experience. Salvation never was easy. We are the Church of Jesus Christ, this is the truth, and He is our Great Eternal Head. How could we believe it would be easy for us when it was never, ever easy for Him?"
—Jeffrey R. Holland, "Missionary Work and the Atonement", Ensign, Liahona, March 2001

Weightier Matters

"Tolerance obviously requires a noncontentious manner of relating toward one another's differences. But tolerance does not require abandoning one's standards or one's opinions on political or public policy choices. Tolerance is a way of reacting to diversity, not a command to insulate it from examination."
—Dallin H. Oaks, "Weightier Matters", Ensign, Liahona, January 2001

Heavenly Homes, Forever families

"Kneel down to pray. Step up to serve. Reach out to rescue. Each is a vital page of God's blueprint to make a house a home and a home a heaven."
—Thomas S. Monson, "Heavenly Homes, Forever Families", Ensign and Liahona, June 2006

Wonderful Parents.....

I Just wanted to write and express appreciation and let you know what wonderful Parents I have and the wonderful and awesome Mother and Father in law my sweet and dear Husband Bryan has.

So Bryan and I moved back home like almost a month ago. My parents were so excited to have us move back and come home.

They have accepted and accept and love my Husband so very much, They are just there for him and there for both of us.

My dad especially has been awesome.... I mean he is always looking out for potential job leads for Bryan, he is very encouraging (Both my parents are), He has and offers to give Bryan and us rides to places if we need to., He is so good and Paitent and gentle with us and Bryan as well.

They Help us, offer to help & Rescue us in so many ways and several times financially and in ways that we could never repay and thank them enough for their help and generosity.  Even if that leaves them short on FUNDS!!!

Sometimes I feel guilty. But, I will strive to do my best to be there and help them in anything they need.

A couple of examples that come to mind is the other day mysteriously the rear window on the driver's side got busted. Dad get's right on the phone to one of his friends and finds us a window, a couple of weeks ago we were out and about one Friday morning and the place we went to - we were inside doing our business and Bryan or I just happened to go outside for a minute and we had discovered our car got towed and Impounded.

So mom and dad heard that and not only did they come down to pick us up but, they well I think we all can guess what they did for us. That also the same day a few hours later that Bryan had a job interview.

Mom is more the one who spends time with us at night while dad is at work and just listens to us and Bryan and who we hang out with and such. But, together Mom and Dad are awesome.  And they are unstoppable.

Thanks Mom and Dad for all you do!!! we love you so much...

How to Pray and seek answers.....

"Often when we pray for help with a significant matter, Heavenly Father will give us gentle promptings that require us to think, exercise faith, work, at times struggle, then act. It is a...

"The person who is working on his or her family history fits the description of one who is fulfilling his or her duty. I know the effort, I know the expense. I know the difficulties through which one may go to uncover one name. I know our Heavenly Father is aware of these efforts. And those for whom we perform sacred ordinances are aware of our efforts. Oftentimes, in a miraculous way, there shall appear before us a clear pathway through a field of turbulence." —Thomas S. Living the Abundant life....

"Courage is required to make an initial thrust toward one’s coveted goal, but even greater courage is called for when one stumbles and must make a second effort to achieve."

Until we meet again

"My brothers and sisters, involvement in [pornography] will literally destroy the spirit. Be strong. Be clean. Avoid such degrading and destructive types of content at all costs--whatever they may be!"

Safety In Counsel

"Our Heavenly Father loves us. He sent His Only Begotten Son to be our Savior. He knew that in mortality we would be in grave danger, the worst of it from the temptations of a terrible adversary. That is one of the reasons the Savior has provided priesthood keys, so that those with ears to hear and faith to obey could go to places of safety."
—Henry B. Eyring, "Safety in Counsel"

Duties, Rewards, and Risks....

"We parents need to begin early to prepare our children to have a strong, fervent testimony of the gospel. We must possess the faith, the courage, and the commitment that our pioneer forefathers had if we are to continue building up the kingdom of God on the earth."

The Peaceable Followers of Christ

"Missionaries return home with a love for the people they have served and taught. They are true ambassadors spreading goodwill for the peoples in whose countries they have lived and worked. They are not concerned with income levels and have no racial bias. They are not out to build any worldly kingdoms. They are, in the words of Mormon, 'the peaceable followers of Christ.'"

Sacrifice......

"The incomprehensible suffering of Jesus Christ ended sacrifice by the shedding of blood, but it did not end the importance of sacrifice in the gospel plan. Our Savior requires us to continue to offer sacrifices, but the sacrifices He now commands are that we 'offer for a sacrifice unto [Him] a broken heart and a contrite spirit' (3 Nephi 9:20). He also commands each of us to love and serve one another—in effect, to offer a small imitation of His own sacrifice by making sacrifices of our own time and selfish priorities."

 —Dallin H. Oaks, "Sacrifice"

10 MONTHS.....

I missed a month last month... And i feel bad. But, I am not going to miss this month's milestone. This is one of the last 2 "Big" Milestones before our "FOR REAL MILESTONE- Being our one year anniversary!" Which i can't wait for.

I can't believe i have been married for almost a year. I Love Bryan so very much and I love him More today than i did yesterday. But not as much as I am going to Love him tomorrow.

And I love him more today than I did the day i married him(not to have that sound negative in anyway- as it is not). I can't imagine my life without him in it or without him apart of it.

And i'm so glad i do not and will never have to live my life without him in it and or apart of it. He is the only one I Love and want to be with. The only one i want to have children with and the only one who i want to be with for time and all eternity.

Happy 10 month Anniversary Sweetheart! I Look forward to many more months, years, and most of all ETERNITY WITH YOU....

Deseret Book- Conference- LADIES NIGHT!!!!

I went to Ladies Night with my Mom at Deseret Book at Valley Fair... The New store located in the parking lot across from Olive Garden. So it was the first Ladies night I went to since Bryan and I moved back home to Utah and the First Ladies night I have been to in that new store.

We didn't make the first 100 ladies/customers to get the door prize. But, of course you know they have drawings for a variety of nice and Sweet prizes.

They had prizes donated also from businesses close by (like their surrounding neighbors such as Olive Garden, Smash Burger, The sweet tooth fairy and more and then prizes from the store) They always have real awesome deals for Ladies night and yummy refreshments, etc.

It's Fun for us GALS!!! while our Men and Preisthood holders are off to Preisthood Session. They do this every conference weekend.
And it's a Tradition I look forward to with my mom every conference.

Anyhow Ladies night starts at 6 PM and goes to close. And as you are walking in you get a entry form to enter your name for some prizes. And of course if your Name get's drawn you win a wonderful Prize.
They had so many wonderful prizes

One of which was the Teach Me to Walk in the Light & Other Favorite Children's Songs (CD)

Guess who won ????

Yes, Your right!!!! I WON!!!! my name was drawn.... I was so excited to hear my name called.

It was so fun....

"Reflections on a Consecrated Life"

"A consecrated life respects the incomparable gift of one’s physical body, a divine creation in the very image of God. A central purpose of the mortal experience is that each spirit should receive such a body and learn to exercise moral agency in a tabernacle of flesh. A physical body is also essential for exaltation, which comes only in the perfect combination of the physical and the spiritual, as we see in our beloved, resurrected Lord. In this fallen world, some lives will be painfully brief; some bodies will be malformed, broken, or barely adequate to maintain life; yet life will be long enough for each spirit, and each body will qualify for resurrection."
—D. Todd Christofferson, "Reflections on a Consecrated Life"

Heed The Prophet's Voice

"Through the media we find analysts analyzing the analysts, almost overwhelming us with opinions and different views. What a comfort it is to know that the Lord keeps a channel of communication open to His children through the prophet. What a blessing it is to know we have a voice we can trust to declare the will of the Lord."
—L. Tom Perry, "Heed the Prophet's Voice

Why do we need Prophet's ????

With General Conference this weekend... I wanted to share and feel it important to post this thought.

"Why Do We Need Prophets?",

"God loves all His children. That is why He pleads so earnestly with us through His prophets. Just as we want what is best for our loved ones, Heavenly Father wants what is best for us. That is why His instructions are so crucial and sometimes so urgent. That is why He has not abandoned us today but continues to reveal His will to us through His prophets. Our fate and the fate of our world hinge on our hearing and heeding the revealed word of God to His children."
—Dieter F. Uchtdorf, "Why Do We Need Prophets?",

My Amazing Husband....

I Have to say I have one of the most amazing husbands in the world... He is so very good to me, he takes real good care of me and looks out for me and my family.  And he keeps me "grounded".

We have been back in Utah for almost 3 weeks.... Will be 3 weeks this coming Monday April 8th and then our 10 month anniversary is on Tuesday...

In the time we have been here and in between looking for jobs!!!

He is so very helpful to me, my parents and around the house. He is very "Handy"
around the house.

He has replaced a shelf in the bathroom downstairs, he uses/used money from his final
paycheck to help my parents and improve the house (not major improvements) but, improvements just the same.

And last night he started to paint the walls in our bedroom (my brother's old room)

he is very helpful and good about doing dishes and cleaning around the house
also just the other night after my dad left for work I found him outside in the backyard
trimming some bushes. , He checks out problems that come up on the cars (my mom's car currently).

And most of all he LOVES me, loves my parents and loves being here... He does all he does for me. And he loves spending time and genuinely getting to know my parents. I wish you all could be here to see how he interacts with mom and dad.

How did I get so LUCKY???? I am one really lucky gal!!!
