The Reason for Our Hope

The Reason for Our Hope

""The Savior wrought the Atonement, which provides a way for us to become clean. Jesus Christ is the resurrected Christ. We worship and recognize Him for the pain He suffered for us collectively and for the pain He endured for each of us individually, both in the Garden of Gethsemane and on the cross. He bore all with great humility and with an eternal understanding of His divine role and purpose. Those who will repent and forsake sin will find that His merciful arm is outstretched still. Those who listen to and heed His words and the words of His chosen servants will find peace and understanding even in the midst of great heartache and sorrow. The result of His sacrifice is to free us from the effects of sin, that all may have guilt erased and feel hope.""

Sharing Your Light

Sharing Your Light

"Do you know how important you are? Every one of you—right now—is valuable and essential in Heavenly Father’s plan of salvation. We have a work to do. We know the truth of the restored gospel. Are we ready to defend that truth? We need to live it; we need to share it. We must stand firm in our faith and lift our voices to proclaim true doctrine."

The Essential Role of Member Missionary Work

"Member missionary work does not require the development of strategies or gimmicks. It does require faith—real faith and trust in the Lord. It also requires genuine love. WOW HAS IT BEEN THAT LONG????

The last time I wrote and posted here was June 23rd - yeah 3 days before my birthday. I can't believe I have let over 5 months go by without blogging. But, know I am here.... And I am not EVER giving up on this blog.

so what has happened in that 5 MONTHS ???

well.....

I had one of the best jobs ever. I got hired at Teleperformance (Yes a call center I worked at 10 yrs ago) on a SUPER AWESOME project. The USAA Project- AWESOME PAT, Awesome schedule,  and NO SUNDAY'S, and a project who is member and people and family oriented.  Well when you are in training you have to pass every test you have with 85% or better to be able to continue. 3 weeks into training I "crashed and burned" and did not pass in the end.  So I no longer am working there.

We also during the summer (in august) had our family reunion - it was a little different this year but, so worth it and fun anyhow.

a few weeks later  (at the end of august) we had a early birthday celebration and party here at the house for my mom as her birthday usually falls on labor day weekend.

the 1st weekend of September was my mom's 45th HS reunion- I am so glad I was able to go with her. Over the last 5 - 5 1/2 yrs I have gotten to know and become friends with a lot of her classmates. Even though they all are old enough to be my parents. I love her friends and classmates.

We had a BABY shower for my awesome SISTER IN LAW LINDSAY.... and for her and my brother's cute and super handsome baby boy Daniel.  Me & Lindsay's sister's / & sister in law(S) threw her a super cute and fun baby shower & we went with a sports but, especially a baseball theme. It turned out well. THERE was so much support for LINDSAY and baby Daniel.  And so much love at that shower.

Also Daniel got a lot of super cool & neat stuff as well.

Then on October 8th, 2014 - Daniel James Richhart arrived - he is so cute and it hardly seems like he is almost 3 wks old. But, he is.... LOVE THAT LITTLE BOY!

2 YEARS......

A few weeks ago Bryan and I reached and celebrated 2 years of Marriage. Wow!!!! I can't believe it has been 2 years already since we got married. Where has that time gone ?

So we have been married 2 years.... The past 2 years that we have been married has been the best 2 years of my life. I would not trade it for anything in the world.
In that 2 years we have accomplished a lot....

We have accomplished.....

* Getting Married (HORRAY!!!!)
*Driving back to TEXAS to live (well we did that for about 10 months)

*Move to UTAH (yes that was a random and spontaneous move - we weren't going to move back for a few months or so later than we did (hope that made sense) )

*In September bryan received the melchezidek priesthood and got ordained a Elder (in the LDS Church)

*Mid October (October 13th) we started temple prep classes.  We had class for 7 weeks

* We went through the temple for the 1st time for our endowments and took our own endowments out on February 22, 2014 in the Salt Lake temple. Such a beautiful and special day.   - Thank you to all who came to support us.

*MARCH 29TH, 2014 - Bryan and I were sealed for time and all eternity in the Jordan River LDS temple - we were very fortunate and blessed to be sealed by my brother Jared's mission president  President Grant Pullan - thanks Pres Pullan.  The night before we were sealed we had a celebration with family and friends celebrating our sealing.  Thanks to all who came to celebrate with us and thanks to all who shared our sealing day with us and who was able to come.

* June 9, 2014 - marked 2 years of marriage.  I would not trade Bryan or marriage for anything in the world.  I love being married, being married to bryan and my best friend.  Would not have it any other way.

Going to the Doctor

As many of you may know a month ago I went for the first time to see a OB/GYN Dr Parrett at Intermountain Medical center. The OB/GYN practice at the hospital. I love my doctor.

Anyhow I did not until now have a General/Family practice provider for when I need to go to the doctor for other matters that are not of a Gynecological or Obstetrical nature.

Well I DO NOW!!!! Her name is  Saphu,Pradhan and I have a real good feeling about her. Anyhow so I went to see her as I needed and wanted to establish care and wanted to get some Liver enzymes or a ALT / or ATL (elevated enzyme issue) and concerns addressed.

So here I go.... I am having some blood work done and being asked all the questions they ask. I had blood work done and HOPEFULLY  the blood work comes back NORMALLY and there is not anything seriously wrong with me and that I do not have a MAJOR issue such as Liver cancer or anything.

Ever since I left the doctors office I have been thinking about it and I am completely scared about my blood work results and such. I am worried that ultimately I will get a diagnosis of something serious and MAJOR (CANCER).
And I do not want to DIE!!!! I am just getting my life started with my best friend, my love, my husband.  I do not want Bryan to be alone.  There is so much I have left to do in life and I have so much life to live.  And I just do not want to be in a world or anywhere without Bryan.  I am young and I am not ready to die. The very thought of it scares me.

I have 3 young nieces and nephew and one on the way. I want to be around for this new baby. I want to see my niece Kayla baptized next year, This baby to be born this october, Ashlee baptized in a couple of years and Dakota to be ordained a Deacon when he is 12! if he has that desire and advance all the way through the priesthood and to have a family if it is meant to be. I HAVE ALOT TO DO...

Anyhow I think I am done with my soapbox....

I would appreciate good vibes, thoughts, prayers and everything that things will come out NORMAL and I can be calm.

Moving Day SOON ???? maybe ????

So Bryan and I have been living back up here in Utah for just over a year. Almost 13 months.... We have been living and staying with my mom and dad (the house I grew up in).  Anyhow it has been kind of a busy 13 months but, that is a separate blog post. Anyhow we feel it is time that we move out and spread our wings and get out on our own.  And for the 1st time in almost 3 yrs - we have been together almost 3 yrs and been married almost 2 of those 3 years.

So back in September- October time we went to look at an apartment complex not far from where I was working at the time.  The Crossroads apartments located on and around 2200 W and 3800 South in West Valley City.  Like totally and in walking distance to the valley fair mall, Costco etc. (Super close)....

here is where we hope to move into  http://www.isyourhome.com/crossroads-apartments

Love the amentities (did I spell that right) you can see a virtual tour.  So we hope to be able to move soon. Will keep you informed.

I love to see the temple - we went there today....

I know I posted a very similar video and post last night in preparation and celebration of today being our sealing day.

  I do not want to be obnoxious with these posts....

 We are just happy about our accomplishments and progress we have made and that we are NOW one ETERNAL unit & family. It was such a special time & day....

We were privileged and blessed to have President Grant Pullan (my Brother Jared's mission president) seal us. It was wonderful and special to have very dear close friends and family there in the sealing with us and to witness this milestone and ordinance. We appreciate the love and support of all who was there with us today. You know who you are. We love you all so much. Blessed that my Dad and Close family friend (Who is like a uncle to me and brother to Dad)  "Uncle" Robert were the witnesses and just for family and friends.

Also for the gospel and the blessings of temple marriage. Such sound advice and counsel was given. Something I remember from our sealing the most is we were taught to be "Fiercly Loyal!" Thanks again who shared this special day and journey with us. Even all those who were unable to be there with us., yet who was cheering us on and supporting us and there for us all the way.

We are being sealed tomorrow.. We have been married for almost 2 years and this has been a long time in coming. A lot of patience, perseverance and a lot of preparation and work. BUT, IT IS FINALLY HERE.... We would like to thank all of you (our family and friends) who has been cheering us on this whole time and going through this with us. We love you all so much and appreciate you all. You all are true and forever friends.

WENT TO THE DR TODAY.....

So as you may have been able to tell from my earlier post from this morning... I FINALLY Went to the Doctor and I saw a OB/GYN - I have been wanting to since last September. But, it finally happened today.

Bryan and I have been married for almost 2 yrs and have been trying to get pregnant but, with no success. So among just establishing care and such I also wanted to try to get checked out to see what's up.

So I had a EXAM (pap smear) I have never had one till today. Actually and surprisingly it was not that bad.

That was the easy part.....
So after that my doctor (Dr. Parrett) and I had a chat about where we go from here.
There are some labs and tests she wants me to take and one that she wants to send Bryan for.
However of course these tests costs ALOT OF MONEY!!! MONEY we do not have. So we will have to determine what we will be able to do.
One of the tests will determine how many EGGS and such I have in reserve. I hope I have sufficient and as such to where the possibility of us conceiving is not completely a impossibility.

I think that is the test that mostly scares me.... AND If it is determined I will not be able to bare children. Something I thought I would always be able to do.... How would I feel about that??? would I be okay with that??? and just the whole range and then some of emotions. Such a emotional roller coaster.  Definitely a lot to think about....

I want to apologize in advance if any of the content in this post makes anyone feel uncomfortable or in anyway offends anyone. I do apologize - however at the same time I do not apologize for being able to be open about this and share this and such.

Will keep you informed.... Prayers will definitely be appreciated, welcomed and more along with love and support.

I Love to see the temple..... We went there today.....

Today was a very very special day for our family and most importantly Bryan and I.... After almost 2 years of marriage and temple prep classes, a lot of waiting and preparing. Bryan and I entered the Temple (Salt Lake Temple) the house of the lord and went through the temple for the first time and received our endowments. So many words, and lessons and promises taught. A very sacred experience. Also a experience surrounded by very dear friends and family. Also combined with new friends made. We loved every minute of it and also missed all those who were not with us. And thank everyone for all your love and support and thank those who came and shared the day and experience with us.

Valentines Day

Happy Valentines Day to me.... My Sweetheart really knows how to take care of a girl!!! or should I say me..... Sorry I do not mean to BRAG!!! I sure have the absolute best friend and husband in the world... So today Bryan was gone looking ...for work and had what seemed to be a disappointing day. He comes home and hurries downstairs, goes in our room for a minute and then comes back up and went out front... And I am thinking "What is he doing ?" so I go out thru the gate and he was doing something on the porch and then comes back towards me and says "There is something and someone at the front door for you!" "But, you have to go around front" so I go to the front door thru the house to the front door and this is what I find.... He surprised me with a sled, a balloon, a card and such. Well you can see what I found.... In one of the pictures you can't see the balloon so much but, you can kind of see it reflecting in the background. I am so lucky and blessed to have such a wonderful husband Bryan Walls I love you so much and can't wait to be with you forever.

Will post pictures later......

Update on Us and our happenings lately......

It has been awhile since I last blogged. I am going to make it one of my New Years Resolutions this year to become a better BLOGGER this year.

A lot or several things have been going on since the last time I blogged

so here we go.....

18 months of marriage......

Bryan and I passed the 18 month (1 1/2 Year mark) of wedded bliss.... I love Bryan so much- I am so happy and blessed to be married to him. I would not have it any other way. I can't wait to spend eternity with him.

Temple Classes:

As many of you or most of you may know.... Bryan and I started taking our temple prep classes on October 13th and they were 6 weeks long so they ended right before thanksgiving. So we completed that and are on our way to the TEMPLE....

THE HOLIDAY'S:

Since Bryan and I have been together this is actually the first year and holiday season in which we have been home for the Holiday's. The other 2 years we have been for Christmas and Thanksgiving and New Years in Texas (Our other home - Both Texas and Utah is and will always be our home). We were excited and happy to be here for the holiday's and thanksgiving especially as we had the whole family here for thanksgiving dinner including little Dakota. He don't usually get to spend thanksgiving at home. We also were able to spend part of Christmas day with Jared and Lindsay and the kids as well at Jared's. And that evening we went over to Aunt Doratha's to visit with her and family. That is a tradition we have.

GOING THROUGH THE TEMPLE FOR THE 1ST TIME......

Bryan and I are through the temple for the 1st time to receive and take out our endowments. This will be taking place on February 22, 2014 in the Salt Lake LDS temple.  The endowment is both a Live ordinance that faithful, desirable, and worthy LDS members take part of and it also is an ordinance that church members can do in behalf of others after they have passed away.

You ask What is the Endowment ????

This comes from http://www.lds.org

Endowment

please see also:  Temple, House of the Lord

In a general sense, a gift of power from God. Worthy members of the Church can receive a gift of power through ordinances in the temple that gives them the instruction and covenants of the Holy Priesthood that they need in order to attain exaltation. The endowment includes instruction about the plan of salvation.
  • There you shall be endowed with power from on high:D&C 38:32, 38; ( Luke 24:49; D&C 43:16; )
  • Build a house, in the which house I design to endow those whom I have chosen:D&C 95:8;
  • I have prepared a great endowment and blessing:D&C 105:12, 18, 33;
  • Many shall rejoice because of the endowment with which my servants have been endowed:D&C 110:9;
  • Glory, honor, and endowment are ordained by the ordinance of my holy house:D&C 124:39;
  • Those called of the Father, as was Aaron, are endowed with keys of the priesthood:D&C 132:59;

GETTING SEALED:  FOR TIME AND ALL ETERNITY

Our other Exciting event coming up and exciting news is that.....

ON MARCH 29TH, 2014 in the Jordan River LDS Temple Bryan and I
will be and kneel across from each other at the Altar and  a worthy melchezidek priesthood holder and Sealer and be sealed for time and all eternity.  In the LDS faith we believe that if we live faithfully and righteously and repent when we make mistakes and also live worthily then we will be together as husband and wife and our children for ETERNITY and forever. Life does not end after death and marriage is not till "Death do us part!"

Seal, Sealing

see also:  See also Elijah; Ordinances; Priesthood

To make valid in heaven the ordinances performed by priesthood authority on earth. Ordinances are sealed when they receive the approval of the Holy Spirit of Promise, which is the Holy Ghost.
  • Whatsoever thou shalt bind on earth shall be bound in heaven:Matt. 16:19; ( Matt. 18:18; D&C 124:93; D&C 132:46; )
  • Ye were sealed with that Holy Spirit of Promise:Eph. 1:13;
  • I give unto you power, that whatsoever ye shall seal on earth shall be sealed in heaven:Hel. 10:7;
  • To them is power given to seal both on earth and in heaven:D&C 1:8;
  • Those in the celestial glory are sealed by the Holy Spirit of Promise:D&C 76:50–70;
  • Elijah commits the keys of the sealing power into Joseph Smith’s hands:D&C 110:13–16;
  • This is the sealing and binding power:D&C 128:14;
  • The more sure word of prophecy means knowing that one is sealed up unto eternal life:D&C 131:5;
  • All covenants not sealed by the Holy Spirit of Promise end when men are dead:D&C 132:7;
  • The great work to be done in the temples includes the sealing of children to their parents:D&C 138:47–48;

No one has ever had greater love than this—Jesus Christ, the Lamb without blemish, willingly laid Himself on the altar of sacrifice and paid the price for our sins to 'the uttermost farthing.' He took upon Himself our suffering. He took our burdens, our guilt upon His shoulders."
